Selected Publications
In 2007, Dr. Jackson edited “The Encyclopedia of Domestic Violence,” which is the first-ever published encyclopedia in that field. She has also published articles and edited other books on crime victims. Dr. Jackson also has presented papers at regional and national criminal justice conferences on school violence and domestic violence issues.

Dr. Jackson arrived at PUC in 1990 with the purpose of overseeing the criminal justice program, particularly examining curriculum development and the expansion of the internship program. She has worked extensively with students serving as a mentor to numerous student projects in which students have presented their findings at national conferences.
One of her greatest accomplishments at PUC has been the origination of the Criminal Justice Club. This organization welcomes all current and alumni students as its members. This active student organization has made significant contributions to the community. Student members have hosted food and clothing drives, participated in game days at local shelters and schools, engaged in mock trials, and hosted guest speakers. These are just a few of the events held by our organization. Each year, the Criminal Justice Club gains new members who often find lifelong friendships.
