MS Degree in Modeling, Simulation, and Visualization Has Been Approved
To the Campus Community,
It is my pleasure to announce that on March 9, the Indiana Commission for Higher Education approved PUC’s request to offer the MS degree in Modeling, Simulation, and Visualization. We would like to recognize Dr. Niaz Latif, Dean of the School of Technology and Interim Associate Vice Chancellor of Research and Graduate Studies, for his leadership and dedication in creating the degree proposal and seeing it through the approval process. We would also like to recognize and thank all of those who worked with him on the MSV project team for their hard work in getting this accomplished.
This is PUC’s fourteenth graduate degree, and the only degree of its type in the state. The degree will be housed in the School of Technology, but is an interdisciplinary degree that brings together the knowledge and expertise of several departments and schools across the campus to prepare students for a variety of jobs and fields that require modeling, simulation and visualization skills. Congratulations again to Dr. Latif and the project team who developed this program and for successfully completing the approval process.
Ralph V. Rogers
Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs
