How are candidates for admission assessed?

Each applicant is assessed individually. All aspects of application are considered with special attention given to GMAT scores, academic performance, and work experience. Admissions decisions are made by the MBA/MAcc Coordinator pursuant to guidelines provided by the Masters Program Committee and in consultation with the Director of Graduate Programs/Associate Dean.

Can I take the GMAT more than once?

If you take the GMAT more than once, we will accept the highest score.

Is post-undergraduate work experience required?

No, but work experience is considered a positive factor in the admissions decision. On average, students enrolled in the MBA program have approximately 5 years of full time work experience.

Are transfer credits allowed?

We will accept a maximum of 6 hours of transfer credit from an AACSB accredited school. Courses that meet our foundation requirements are not transferred; they are merely accepted as fulfilling the requirement.

How long will the MBA/MAcc program take?

It depends on how many foundation courses you are lacking. If you have an undergraduate degree in business, you may be able to complete the program in one year and a half; if you have never had a business course, it may take two years (or more). The core curriculum of the program consists of 24 credit hours. Foundation courses may add up to another 21 hours.

My degree only has 3 years, would you consider it?

If your bachelor degree took only 3 years, you may need to finish your fourth year in any U.S college or in any campus of the Purdue System. However, if you have any other degree or diploma that can be complete the year of education it can be validated.
