Faculty & Staff (Spouses/SSDP), Students and PUC Fitness Center Members – $25 for 1 OR $40 for 2

Public – $40 for 1 OR $70 for 2

Payments should be made at the Fitness Center desk located in the Fitness & Recreation Building.  Cash or check only.


Monday & Wednesday

Dance Yourself Fit!

Bootie Gluttie

Time: 12:00pm – 12:30pm

Description: The class is a combination of ballet barre, ball and stretch bad work that concentrates on the glutes ad abs.

 

 

Zumba

Time: 5:15pm – 6:00pm

Description: Dance yourself fit!  A great way to get moving and burn extra calories!  Set to Latin dance music, get read to mambo, cha-cha and merengue!  Open to all fitness levels.

 

Tuesday & Thursday

Yoga AM

Time: 7:30am – 8:30am

OR

Yoga PM

Time: 12:00pm – 1:00pm

Description: A Wonderful class to relax, increase strength and improve flexibility.  Make the mind-body connection!  Joanna Sypudt has many years of Yoga experience in the Chicago and NWI area.

Functional Fitness

Day/Time: Monday & Wednesday, 7:30am – 8:30am

Description: An exercise class designed for balance with an emphasis on exercises to help with daily living activities.  Come join us!

 

SilverSneakers Muscular Strength and Range of Movement (MSROM)SilverSneakers MSROM

Day/Time: Monday, Wednesday & Friday, 10:00am – 11:00am

Instructor: John Bobalik/Tabitha Stills

Description: Muscular Strength and Range of Movement class designed for beginners.  Class attendees will be provided with the necessary exercise equipment.  Participants will be furnished with a sturdy chair, stretch bands, dumbbells and a squeeze and coordination ball.  Put the world on hold, relax and have fun!

 

Stretch for Success

Day/Time: Monday & Wednesday, 12:00pm – 12:30pm

Description: The benefits of stretching are numerous, from increased circulation and range of motion to stress reduction. Take a break in the middle of your day for a 30 minute full body stretch. 

 

Advanced Abs & Core

Day/Time: Monday & Wednesday, 4:15pm – 5:00pm

Description: A 30-minute, high-energy, hard driving, fast-pace class designed for those with good abs and core strength.  Multiple sets of different exercises with minimal rest between sets is the class format.  Not a class for beginners.

 

TRX Basics

Day/Time: Monday & Wednesday, 4:30pm – 5:00pm

Description: TRX Basics is a class designed to teach beginners the basic movements of body weight suspension training exercises performed. The class assumes that enrollees have never used TRX equipment and would like to learn how to use it safely and correctly. Proper form, good technique and selecting exercises that improve functional strength, flexibility, balance and core stability are the take-away lessons from the class.

 

Midday Timeout

Day/Time: Tuesday & Thursday, 12:00pm – 12:30pm

Location: CLO 214

Description: No need to change your clothes for this stretching, flexibility and balance workout.  Give yourself the gift of a midday timeout!

 

H.I.I.T

Day/Time: Tuesday & Thursday, 7:00pm – 8:00pm

Description:

 

TGIF Fitness Walk

Day/Time: Friday, 11:30am – 12:00pm

Description: Thank God It’s Friday Fitness Walk held at various locations throughout campus!

 

Extreme Abs & Core

Day/Time: Saturday, 10:30am – 11:30am

Instructor: John Bobalik

Description: A 60 minute, high-energy, hard driving, fast-pace class designed for avid exercisers and fitness enthusiasts. Multiple sets of different exercises with minimal rest between sets in the class format. Come test your core strength with master trainer, Fitness Center Director, John Bobalik! Not a class for beginners.

 

All classes are taught by certified instructors and can accommodate all fitness levels.
