Purdue University Calumet is an academically comprehensive university and part of the Purdue University System. Classes were first offered on the campus in 1946. Today, more than 10,000 students attend classes in which the student faculty ratio is 23 to 1. With more than 60 different organizations on campus, Purdue University Calumet has something to meet all students’ interests, including several country-cultural organizations. The clubs and organizations provide educational, social and cultural experiences for member and the PUC community at large. Additionally, serious athletes and those playing just for fun enjoy the camaraderie and competition afforded by intercollegiate basketball and intramural sports at the campus’ Fitness & Recreation Center.
