Greetings, Fellow Peregrine!
My name is Terrence and I am a sophomore in the Mechanical Engineering program in the College of Engineering, Math & Science at Purdue University Calumet. Coming from a background in the United States military, I began my college career with a firsthand understanding that hard work and determination open up a world of possibilities.
Already I have learned so much about the importance of a hands-on education – especially in this field. The College of EMS provides the type of Experiential Learning environment that will help me succeed in my future career in engineering. As a senior, I will complete a full-year project pursuing an engineering idea from conception to design, fabrication, and testing. Comprehensive projects such as this provide invaluable work experience for new professionals, but require so much more than a textbook.
Donors like you make such a huge impact on the resources available to students. Whether they come in the form of direct scholarships, program support, or state-of-the-art laboratories and equipment – you can make it happen!
As I begin to look towards my future, I hope you will consider the impact your support has on the next generation of young scholars. Will you accept this challenge and be a leader in supporting the College of Engineering, Mathematics and Science?
Thank you for your consideration and support!
