Welcome

Teacher Preparation is a department in the College of Education at Purdue University Calumet. We provide programs and courses to students interested in becoming teachers. We are here to help you learn, and learn to teach. The department offers degree programs, courses, professional development events and a variety of resources to help students become teachers and teachers be more effective.

Candidates for graduation! Please consider letting the Ronald E. McNair post-baccalaureate achievement program help you pursue a graduate degree. About Teacher Preparation

We can’t “make” you a teacher at Purdue Calumet. We can help you learn about teaching, understand the learning process, and prepare for the profession of teaching. It will be your effort, your time and your hard work that will make the difference between someone who studies what teaching is and someone who becomes a teacher. We will help guide you and train you for this rewarding and challenging work – work that some say is the most important work we can do.
