Undeclared Students

I’m Undecided!  I don’t know what I want to do for the rest of my life!  I want to major in everything!

Does this sound like you?  Don’t worry, on average, 20% of students are still undecided after their first year of college and 34% of students decide to pursue another major after their first year.  Being undecided is completely normal.

Here are some tips to help guide you in choosing a major.

Changing/Declaring a Major

The Center for Student Achievement allows students to remain in the Undecided (UND) status for 48 credit hours or 4 semesters.  You will need to declare your major (CODO) after that time.   Many students are able to transfer to the department of their choice after one semester.  However, departments with special admission requirements (Nursing, Education, Management, and Engineering) may take longer.   Speak with your academic advisor if you have further questions regarding program requirements and how to CODO.
