The purpose of this system is to cool chloride gasses to below the aqueous dew point which will help prevent corrosion in systems further down the line. The main method of lowering the temperature is to spray water droplets in the flow. The main objective of this project is to use CFD and other calculations to determine the most effective type of nozzle and analyze their effectiveness.
- A multi-phase 3D CFD model has been developed
- Different nozzles has been evaluated
- Detailed information has been provided, such as water concentration, evaporation rate, temperature, droplet surface area, etc.
