THE PROBLEM
Since 2005, the Regional Development Authority (RDA) has funded several projects throughout the Northwest Indiana and Chicago-land areas that have had major positive impacts throughout the region. These projects have been made possible with funding from the State of Indiana, and in order to show the success and tremendous community impacts that the projects have had, RDA turned to CIVS to create a short informational video highlighting the return on investment as well as the positive impacts on regional communities.

THE PROJECT
Using a fusion of audio/video footage and computer-generated 3D renders, CIVS was tasked with creating and compiling a 7 minute informational video demonstrating how RDA-funded projects have had a significant impact on their surrounding communities, and also how highly polluted and unusable lands have been restored and nurtured into lush, green habitats and recreational areas. Segments of the video were shot on location at the completed project sites, whereas the projects still under construction were computer generated and modeled using 3D software to visualize the completed result and how it will impact the community.

THE OUTCOME
Following completion of the video, the RDA met with Indiana State Legislators to show the video. CIVS was credited and commended for delivering an outstanding product that effectively conveyed the message and information that RDA was in need of. As an end result, the RDA has commissioned CIVS for a second installment of the video to expand on other projects. In conclusion, a successful relationship has been secured for any future projects and endeavors with the RDA.
