Dr. Chenn Zhou, director of the Center for Innovation through Visualization and Simulation at Purdue University Calumet gives keynote speech entitled “Application of Simulation and Visualization Technologies in Steel Manufacturing” for Baosteel BAC 2013 academic conference in Shanghai, China on June 6, 2016. Baosteel BAC 2013 is known as an open international platform for scientists and engineers in the steel industry to exhibit their academic and scientific achievements as well as to promote technical exchange and cooperation.
The academic conference drew over five hundred participants from steel companies, universities, and research institutes, representing more than 20 counties and regions. Technical sessions ranged from coal-blending and coke-making to energy and environmental protection presented by the Illinois Institute of Technology, University of California, Berkley and DOW Chemical Company. Dr. Zhou was among researchers from around the world whose main focus was “Meeting Steel’s New Challenges.”
