Professional Engineers’ Law & Ethics continuing ed course at PUC – additional course added – Register by March 2nd

To meet demand, an additional session has been added for the continuing education course, Professional Engineering Law & Ethics. The original session is still scheduled for Thursday, February 23, from 1:00pm to 4:00pm at Purdue University Calumet. The new session is scheduled for Thursday, March 8, from 1:00pm to 4:00pm also at Purdue University Calumet. March 2 is the deadline to register for the new course.

The three-hour, non-credit course, first in a series of continuing education offerings in response to Indiana State Board of Professional Engineers requirements, includes case discussions of real life situations. Instructing are Purdue Calumet Chancellor Emeritus Howard Cohen and corporate advisor David Ranich.

Cohen, who stepped down last summer after heading Purdue Calumet for 10 years, is an experienced instructor of engineering ethics. His philosophical interests have focused on ethics for the professions and social philosophy.

Ranich advises clients in real estate, corporate, transactional, and trust and estate matters. He is certified by the Indiana Commission for Continuing Legal Education as an alternative dispute mediator and holds the AV® Peer Review Rating from Martindale-Hubbell, which represents the highest rating for ethics and legal ability.

The course fee is $200, including materials. Seating is limited to the first 30 registrants.
