Powers 108

You are cordially invited to attend “Numerical Simulation and Visualization for Industrial Projects” on Wednesday, October 6 from 11:00am – 12:00pm in Powers 108. This talk is part of the CIVS seminar series, presenting the latest trends in visualization and simulation to the PUC community.

Numerical simulation methods such as Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) are increasingly used for design and to solve problems in industry. Combining simulation with visualization provides industrial collaborators with valuable information on which to make decisions on how to most effectively design, operate, and maintain their facilities and equipment. Several completed and ongoing CFD and FEA industrial projects will be discussed as well as the role of visualization is playing to better understand and present results to industry.

To find out more information about CIVS and how to get involved, please visit our website at http://webs.purduecal.edu/civs/.   We look forward to seeing you in the seminar.

If you have any suggestions on the topics of future seminars or need any help from CIVS for developing projects and grant proposals in the areas of simulation and visualization, please feel free to contact  CIVS at civs@calumet.purdue.edu.
