State-of-the art laboratory facilities and equipment come with a cost. Equipment constantly needs to be upgraded; expendables must be purchased annually. What’s more, the quality of a lab directly impacts the faculty’s ability to conduct cutting-edge research and to provide high-quality instruction to students.
