MKG 42900 students top eight in the nation, for now…

Our MKG 42900 – Advertising Campaigns students, coached and mentored by Prof. Matt Hanson  will be competing against the BIGGEST AND BEST in the National Student Advertising Competition next month.  On May 4th they took first place at the District 6 competition in South Bend, and on this past Friday they made it through the semi-final round of the National Student Advertising Competition and qualified to go to Boca Raton, FL to compete in nationals. This year the team developed an integrated marketing campaign for the national client Mary Kay.

Only EIGHT teams in the country get to go to nationals.  Purdue University Calumet will be competing against Johnson & Wales-Providence, Texas Tech University, UC Berkeley, University of Miami, University of Nebraska–Lincoln, University of North Carolina–Chapel Hill, and University of Texas at Austin!  This is the fourth time in the last six years that Matt has led students to this level of national success.

Please join us in congratulating Matt and his students and wishing them luck when they compete at the end of May.
