Professor Amlan Mitra shared his insights on President Obama’s jobs bill, the debt crisis, tax cuts and the importance of small businesses in creating jobs in the most recent issue of Northwest Indiana Business Quarterly Magazine.
Speaking about the jobs crisis, he notes that “the debt crisis can’t be resolved overnight. The debt crisis is a long-term issue, but we are dealing with a short-term crisis right now: jobs. To say we can’t spend any money on infrastructure is basically saying that we’re not interested in growing the economy.”
