The Purdue Board of Trustees granted promotions to Prof. Mike Zimmer and other nine Purdue Calumet faculty members during a Board meeting at Purdue North Central on April 4, 2014. The promotions are effective with the start of the 2014-15 academic year.
Congratulations to First and Second Place Winners of Graduate Poster Award at the Purdue University Calumet Student Research Day, April, 3, 2014. First Place – Christ Hartman (Mentor: Evert Ting) for his research on reduction of Salmonella Typhimurium contamination on glass by application of bacteriophages.
Second Place – Adam Riley & Jordan Lowry (Mentor: Curtis Creighton) for their research on Larval immunity in burying beetle N. orbicollis.
Michael I. Zimmer, Ph.D. Assistant Professor Department of Biological Sciences is the winner of 2013-2014 Library Scholars Grant, which will support Dr. Zimmer’s research on the life and lesser known professional contributions of John F. Enders. The grant will provide funding for Dr. Zimmer to travel to John Franklin Enders Papers at the Yale University Library.
