BIOL 30700 Plant Physiology
Credits: 3 (Class 3)
Prerequisite: BIOL 101 & 102 Introductory Biology

Description: This is an intermediate-level course in plant biology.  Understanding of basic concepts in biology is required.  Topics may include but not limited to plant cells, genome, gene expression, water transport, solute translocation, photosynthesis, carbohydrate, lipid & protein metabolisms, nutrient assimilation, plant growth, hormones, flowering & defense.  Applications to agriculture, biotechnology, ecology, forestry and other related areas will also be included.
