Biology Club Students Take a Tour of Biology Teaching and Research Labs

Biology club students were given a tour of the teaching and research labs used by the Dept. Biological Sciences.  Laboratory Technicians Diana Young and Jessica Orr showed students critical pieces of equipment including the autoclaves, PC machines, -80 freezers and explained their use and quality control procedures.  Prof. Curtis Creighton gave students a tour of research lab 217/219 and spoke about his current research projects.  Students also had the opportunity to view the Department’s collection of human brains used in the Anatomy and Physiology and Neurobiology courses (seen below).   Students interested in future tours are encouraged to visit and follow the Biology Club Facebook page for more information about future workshop dates and times.
