Lady Peregrines sign sixth recruit, Merrillville’s Lobodinski

Chrissy LobodinskiHAMMOND, Ind. – Merrillville High School senior forward Chrissy Lobodinski has committed to continue her basketball career at Purdue University Calumet during 2007-08.The 5-feet-8 Lobodinski averaged 7.0 points, 6.1 rebounds and 2.5 steals per game last season for the Lady Pirates and received honorable mention all-area recognition, according to Purdue Calumet acting women’s coach Tom Megyesi.

“Chrissy is an outstanding athlete who is very strong and an excellent defender,” Megyesi said. “She will help us become a better pressing team.”

Lobodinski is the sixth member of Megyesi’s recruiting class for next season. Also in the Lady Peregrines fold are Merrillville teammate and guard Jamesha Harris of Merrillville, guards Amanda Moes of Highland and Jenny Britton of Lake Central, as well as forward Cortney Robinson of Hebron and junior college transfer Rhiannon Howard, a 6-5 center.
