2011-12 Inductees

Lynn Hevezi– Women’s Basketball (1985-89)

Hevezi closed out an illustrious collegiate career as the No. 2 scorer in school history, as she still holds the school’s single-game scoring record with a 45-point outburst in 1988-89. The 5-foot-9 forward racked up 1,710 points, 603 rebounds and 421 assists on her way to a pair of AWSF All-American honors, including first team accolades in 1988-89. She also earned All-CCAC recognition in PUC’s first two years in the league, while helping lead Purdue Calumet to 66 victories in her four years on campus.

Tony Vermejan – Men’s Basketball (1982-86)

Vermejan helped headline the most successful class in program history, as Purdue Calumet rolled up 72 victories during his four-year career including a school-record 21 wins in 1985-86. The 5-foot-11 guard ranks fourth on the school’s all-time scoring list with 1,505 career points, after pouring in 1,063 points in his final two seasons at Purdue Calumet. He earned NAIA Honorable Mention All-American honors in 1985-86, while garnering NAIA All-District 21 recognition two times.
