Ken Newton has served as the Assistant Principal at Clark Middle School in St. John, IN. for the past five years.
During his 16 years in education, Ken also has taught 4th, 5th, and 6th-grade, as well working as an elementary Dean of Students. The past 13 years have been with the Lake Central School Corporation.
Throughout his career, Ken has initiated numerous programs and activities aimed at helping students, colleagues, parents, and community members.
Examples of his career highlights are providing staff development in the areas of curriculum, instruction, assessment, and classroom management.
Ken also is an Indiana School Safety Specialist and prior Indiana Association of Student Councils Honor Council Advisor. He is a member of the Indiana Association of School Principals (IASP) and the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD). Another area he currently is active in is coaching youth soccer and softball in his community.
Ken earned his B.A. in Elementary Education and his M.S. in Educational Administration from Purdue University Calumet.
He resides in Schererville, IN with his wife and two children.
