From Lake Central Indian to Purdue Calumet Peregrine, local J.T. Eagan started his collegiate studies as a traditional student. With his parents’ support fully behind him to become the first in the immediate lineage with a Bachelor’s degree, Mr. Eagan was a consistent Semester Honors and Dean’s List honoree. Mr. Eagan was a member and avid supporter of the Finance and Accounting Club. He was recognized by the School of Management with the Outstanding Student Award for the 2007-2008 academic year. Mr. Eagan graduated with a double major in Accounting and Finance.
In October of 2006, Mr. Eagan accepted an internship with the Big 4 accounting firm KPMG LLP in their State and Local Tax group. Midway through the internship, KPMG LLP offered a part-time position while completing the degree with a full-time position upon graduation. Since this time, Mr. Eagan has received two promotions and is currently a Senior Associate with the firm where he oversees several staff members and is the direct contact for clients. Mr. Eagan serves a wide range of clients from Fortune 100 manufacturers to large private equity firms. He has received numerous Standing Ovation Awards, KPMG LLP’s exclusive recognition for exemplary work on clients. Mr. Eagan recently spoke to the members of the Finance and Accounting Club to share career success tips. Now happily married to his wife Elyse, Mr. Eagan looks forward to continued career growth, education, and lasting alumni relationships.
