Paul’s most valued Purdue Calumet experience:
“My first experiences in modeling on a IBM 1620 with punch cards in Fortran, and what seems like a huge jump to be able to model in almost real time on a Nova 800 minicomputer.”
Paul’s advice to current Purdue Calumet students:
“Realize that the university’s job is not to make you an engineer, but to assist you in gaining the intellectual tools to make yourself into an engineer. Work to learn the subject, not what you think will be tested about the subject. Things only seem complex until you truly understand them.”
