Founders Day – February 25, 2015

Show your school spirit and join Purdue Calumet in celebrating our 69 years of rich history at our annual Founders Day celebration! Festivities will take place on Wednesday, February 25 and are free to Purdue Calumet students, faculty, and staff (unless otherwise noted).

Schedule of Events

February 18-24:

  • Spirit Door Decorating Voting 
    (See below for detailed info about the Spirit Door Decorating contest.)

February 25:

  • Kick Off Ceremony & Activities
    11 a.m. — Student Union & Library, Calumet Falls (Spirit Door Decorating winner will be announced).
    11 a.m. – 4 p.m. — Photobooth, trivia, video games, bean bags, and ping pong in Student Union & Library, Calumet Falls
  • Laser Tag
    11:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. — (set-up by Zig-E’s Funland) in Alumni Hall (Laser tag will be operated on a first come, first serve basis.
  • Mr. Pierogi battling Halupki Guy and being interviewed by a Channel 2 news anchorMr. Pierogi will be on campus
    12 p.m. – 3 p.m. — Whiting, IN Pierogi Fest’s Mr. Pierogi, who is also a Purdue Calumet alum, will be on campus taking pictures and handing out delicious pierogis (campus locations TBD).
  • Fitness Center Open & Free to All
    Purdue Calumet Fitness and Recreation Center will be open all day (Feb. 25) for free to students, faculty, staff and community members.
  • HTM Lunch
    HTM 291 Class is offering a Founders Day themed lunch. Guests must pay for their own lunch. (Please contact Geralyn Farley with Hospitality & Tourism Management at directly to make your lunch reservation.)
  • Pep Rally and Pizza Party
    Time TBD — Pep rally and pizza party at Fitness & Recreation Center before the women’s basketball conference tournament.
